Adorn and Dignify The Temple

Daily cultivation for the Sangha includes adorning and dignifying the temple (Zhuangyan Daochang) while practicing mindfulness. In movement and stillness, we skillfully engage the mind—safeguarding the Triple Gem outwardly while cultivating discipline inwardly. Releasing rescued insects, washing and preparing vegetables, carrying stones to pave the path, sweeping fallen leaves, watering the orchard—all become practices of the Way. Indoors, one group carefully prepares offerings of food for the Buddha and the Sangha, cultivating merit and virtue. Attention to even the smallest details reflects sincere dedication, shaping the character of the monastics in every gesture. Outdoors: Patrol the Temple’s grounds with diligence. Rain, snow, ice, or frost cannot shake their determination; the spring blossoms and the autumn moon do not disturb their calm mind. Solely pursuing the holy Path, their determination never wavers. In aiding self and others alike, all attain perfect accomplishment.
