Potalaka Temple (DaBeDaoChang) is located in Agassiz, British Columbia, Canada — a beautiful, tranquil, and harmonious small town nestled between the Fraser River and the Cascade Range.

This friendly town’s history dates back to the 1860s when British families settled in the area and the town was named after the family of the first settlers. In the late 19th century, Chinese workers came to build the railroad, forming Agassiz’s Chinatown. With successive waves of newcomers, the town gradually flourished.

Agassiz is primarily agricultural, with fertile farmland producing abundant blueberries, fresh fruits and vegetables. It is also known as the “Corn Capital of British Columbia”.

Each spring, the famous Harrison Tulip Festival is held here.

Agassiz offers numerous outdoor activities for families, such as hiking, cycling, swimming, and paragliding. The renowned Harrison Hot Springs is only a 10-minute drive away, with spectacular views of lakes, mountains, and the Fraser River — bald eagles soaring overhead, black bears wandering the woods, and seals basking on the riverbanks.
