Briefly Explained by Venerable Master Shang Lu Xia Yi
From the An-Le-Ji: “Within this single volume of the An-Le-Ji, there are twelve major chapters in total. All cite scriptures and treatises as proof to encourage faith and the seeking of rebirth [in the Pure Land].”
The author, Master Dao-Chuo, originally studied the Nirvana Sutra for decades and practiced Chan (Zen) meditation. Later, upon seeing an inscription detailing the auspicious deeds of Master Tan-Luan, he developed deep faith. He then set aside his previous studies to specialize in propagating the Pure Land Dharma Door. He compiled essential passages from various scriptures and treatises regarding rebirth in the Western Pure Land and authored the two-volume An-Le-Ji to promote the Pure Land teachings.
